Woodventure - the company :
As our name suggests we are synonymous with all things related to Timber Supply in the UK. It’s a privilege being an innovator in such a constantly changing industry. We are charged with accessing and understanding industry wide change.
Also how, if at all they appropriate to our customers whilst applying bespoke solutions accordingly. At the core of our operation lies an unabated drive to give you the very best service found anywhere.
At the source of our business are the world’s forests and woodland areas; alive, vibrant and a beehive of constant activity. In much the same way we exhibit the same features in our business model, having constant growth, adaptability and strength in the midst of subtlety.
At the centre of the aforementioned fast rate of change in the industry lies the sacred issues of sustainability and chain of custody. The idea is to ensure that UK businesses operate responsible sourcing policies and are not complicit in the mass deforestation as seen in parts of South America particularly but also throughout the rest of the world.
In keeping with the need for sourcing from sustainable, well managed forests Woodventure limited only supplies FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Certified Timber with a fully traceable chain of custody. Every cubic metre supplied by ourselves with no exception is identified and recorded at every stage of its progress.
The Chain of custody information which references the source, quantity, type, movement and product grouping are just a click of a mouse away. These details can also be viewed in the Batch information and are clearly displayed by product labeling. Critical Control Points are the places in the chain of Custody where the probability of mixing certified and uncertified products is at its highest.
This is combatted by strong identification, segregation and documentation procedure as well as ongoing staff training. We constantly strive for improvement by monitoring and updating our already strong Critical Control points Procedures.
